Yes, the game is free, but it pushes both in-app purchases and advertisements. And, after a certain point, it stops awarding you gems for completing adventures, so youll never be able to buy the coolest stuff for your ship without paying real money.
This is a perfect example of a flashy game thats just too greedy.
